Matthew Ha is an associate attorney at Bridgeway IP Law Group. Matthew handles various IP matters, such as patent prosecution, trademark prosecution, and validity/infringement opinions. His studies in technical fields include biology and biochemistry.

 

Matthew has experience of serving in the Republic of Korea Army as an assistant to JAG officers. He received an honorary award by the Division Commander and retired as a sergeant.

While attending a law school, Matthew worked as a legal intern at Bridgeway IP Law Group and Novick, Kim, and Lee. Also, at the law school, he researched intellectual property related topics such as “Securitization of Biotechnology Patents for Startups in the United States” and “The Bible, John Locke’s Liberalism, and John Stuart Mill’s Utilitarianism as Justification for the US Patent Law.”

Matthew received his J.D. equivalent first-professional law degree from Handong International Law School and LL.M. from Regent University School of Law in 2023. He also received his B.A. in Biology from Calvin College (Michigan) in 2015.
